Re: NewPing Library: HC-SR04, SRF05, SRF06, DYP-ME007, Parallax PING))) - v1.5

Teckel, I've received a Due and downloaded NewPing (you asked earlier in the thread).  The immediate issues are that it includes "avr/io.h" and "avr/interrupt.h", neither of which seem to have obvious counterparts for the ARM due.

With those headers mi...

Re: Troubleshooting sketchy uploads to breadboard

Posted: 27 Jan 2013 01:45 AM PST

I'm using an external oscillator. The problem seems to be that the reset wont pull down, not that it wont stay up. During upload I have the reset pin connected to the reset pin on the arduino so it should act exactly as it does on the board as far as I...

Re: Types of Opto-isolators

Posted: 27 Jan 2013 12:58 AM PST

A triac based opt isolator can only be used to switch AC. If you try to switch DC with it, you will find that you can switch it on but not off.

A zero crossing triac based opto isolator can also only be used to switch AC, and can't be used to switch in...

My new Due is dead.

While I was trying out the example project "AnalogInOutSerial", the pot was fully turned to the 3V3 end of its range, and the wiper wire came out of A0 socket pin and brushed against the Native USB shield (around the USB connector). I thought nothing o...

and the $10 scales I found provide 0.1g or 0.05g precision.

You didn't look very hard.   Go to eBay and type "digital scales 0.01"  or  "digital scales 0.001"  in the search box.

Measuring weight isn't that difficult: a strain gauge for example.

Measuring mass is very challenging, electronically.

That's very true,  particularly if you want your device to work on other planets !  Any device which relies on the mea...

Re: Possible Leonardo damaged on first sketch ?

I did all of these. Reboot PC , unplug Arduino board, disconnect all wires from board, then re-plug USB connection and PC shows for a second an Arduino Leonardo on COM9 but immediately disappear (instead of automatically pass on COM8 port like before) ...

emax es08a servo has only 160 degrees of movement

I'm trying to use two servos with my Arduino Uno. The servos were include in a kit I bought at Radio Shack. The greastest the servo can open is 162 degrees but the servo vibrates,  so I constrained the servo to a maximum of 160.  I have looked online a...
