How to make the file name being dynamic for my project?

Posted: 28 Mar 2013 03:01 AM PDT

Now i created a camera project with button, while i click the button the project will save a .jpg file inside SD card for me.
I use the example from my JPEGCAMERA library, it worked, so the problem for now is i cannot let my project save the .jpeg file...

27 Science Fictions That Became Science Facts In 2012 #3dthursday

Posted: 28 Mar 2013 03:00 AM PDT

We received a link to this fun collection of "science facts" for 2012 and want to share them. Two of them were really fun 3D printing details, so we are highlighting these two today — but take a look at the entire list over at MyScienceAcademy.

(And, yeah, we totally on them about the Voyager I claim as well. So you don't have to wag a finger at us!)

9. 3-D PRINTER CREATES FULL-SIZE HOUSES IN ONE SESSION

D ShapePrinter

The D-Shape printer, created by Enrico Dini, is capable of printing a two-story building, complete with rooms, stairs, pipes, and partitions. Using nothing but sand and an inorganic binding compound, the resulting material has the same durability as reinforced concrete with the look of marble. The building process takes approximately a fourth of the time as traditional buildings, as long as it sticks to rounded structures, and can be built without specialist knowledge or skill sets.

12. CUSTOM JAW TRANSPLANT CREATED WITH 3-D PRINTER

CustomJaw3DPrinted

A custom working jawbone was created for an 83-year-old patient using titanium powder and bioceramic coating. The first of its kind, the successful surgery opens the door for individualized bone replacement and, perhaps one day, the ability to print out new muscles and organs.

"cantare"?
Che intendi per "cantare"?

Vuoi far riprodurre un file musicale MP3? Ci sono degli shield appositi.

Vuoi far riprodurre un "motivo" musicale? Allora c'è la Tone.

up to 400MHz, yes, over long periods of time, yes, both, no. At least AFAIK in any reasonable price range.

Are you serious about the 400MHz? That's not I2C or SPI.

Bit of a convoluted way of doing it...

Personally I'd have a separate "muted" variable, and not manipulate the volume variable at all.

[code]
VolumeChanged := false

If button pressed
  Muted := not Muted
  VolumeChanged := true
End If

If turned clockwi...

Goldeneye 007 Remote Mine by ComradeQuiche #3dthursday

Posted: 28 Mar 2013 02:00 AM PDT

GoldenEyeRemoteMine

Not only a very cool print with integrated electronics components, but also a good litmus test to tell what you were doing in the late 90s. Created by ComradQuiche, shared as Thingiverse Thing 54528:

A printable Remote Mine prop with blinking lights, a beeper, and a magnetic back!

If you grew up in the 90′s, you've played Goldeneye, and if you've played Goldeneye you should recognize this classic weapon!

After creating a tutorial on Instructables on how to make a Remote Mine using an old joystick base, I decided that I would model one up so others could print their own. The problem with my Instructables is it requires you to find a "PC Commander" Joystick from the 90′s to use as the Remote Mine's body. It took me about a month to track one down, and they get more rare every year. So now that this ancient component is nearly extinct I wanted to make sure everyone could still make their own remote mine prop.

With a few components and some patience you too can make your very own remote mine prop, chock full of blinking lights and beeping sounds!

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don't forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!

The Adafruit Learning System has dozens of great tools to get you well on your way to creating incredible works of engineering, interactive art, and design with your 3D printer! If you've made a cool project that combines 3D printing and electronics, be sure to let us know, and we'll feature it here!
